Senior Software Developer / Team Lead of Nephila Capital, leading a team of senior software developers on the design and implementation of risk aggregation, catastrophe risk modeling, portfolio management, portfolio optimization, pricing, and underwriting systems and tools, since November of 2012;

Senior Software Developer / Team Lead of Banco Espírito Santo (BES) | Novo Banco (now known as Novo Banco), a major bank in Portugal, led a team of five senior software developers on the implementation of several banking reconciliation processes, from January of 2009 to November of 2012;

Lead .NET Software Developer of Citibank Portugal, led the reengineering program and application migration from VB6 to .NET 2.0, including the interbank electronic funds transfer system and the direct debits system, from November of 2007 to January of 2009;

Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), teaching courses and workshops since 2004 on different products, technologies and programming languages, such as C#, VB .NET, ASP .NET WebForms and MVC, WCF, WPF, Entity Framework, Team Foundation Server (TFS), SQL Server, Reporting Services, and others, as well as developing content for these courses;

AIR Certified Catastrophe Modeler (CCM) by AIR Worldwide, having passed all required exams;

Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) by The Institutes, having passed all required exams, and currently finishing the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) program, also from The Institutes, having passed 7 out of 9 exams so far;

Successfully passed in more than forty official Microsoft certification exams related with the .NET Framework, from version 1.1 to 4.0 (MCPD, MCTS, MCSD, MCAD), including Windows 8 Modern UI Apps, ASP .NET MVC, Silverlight, Windows Phone, WPF, WCF, SQL Server, and others (software development certifications);

Honored with the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award for 7 consecutive years, 2009-2015, in recognition to his exceptional technical contributions and leadership (MVP profile);

Windows 8 “Windows Store” Applications Developer Instructor at the Microsoft Windows Camps;

Featured speaker at the Microsoft Innovation Week 2012 event in Portugal, presented four technical sessions: “Building Metro Style Apps with XAML: What .NET developers need to know”, “Integrating with the Windows 8 Experience with Contracts”, “How and When Metro Style Apps run”, and “Async: New Feature for Responsive Programming in Visual Studio 11 and .NET 4.5″;

One of the main speakers of the Microsoft WebDay 2010 event in Portugal, presented the session “What’s new in ASP .NET MVC 3″, presented both in Lisbon and Oporto in October of 2010;

Speaker at the Microsoft TechDays 2010 Portugal event, presented three sessions: “What’s new in Entity Framework 4″, “What’s new in ASP .NET 4″, and “Inversion of Control and Dependency Injection in the .NET world”;
